Kickstart the Fellowship year with a two-day immersive experience featuring expert speakers, interactive workshops, and foundational training on fostering viewpoint diversity in schools.
Regular virtual sessions will provide Fellows with opportunities to share progress, troubleshoot challenges, and learn from expert guest speakers on school leadership, pedagogy, and culture-building.
Fellows receive one-on-one coaching, and access to expert advisory calls.
Become part of a network of forward-thinking school leaders committed to fostering intellectual diversity and free inquiry. Fellows share best practices, mentor one another, and build lasting professional relationships.
Fellows will design and implement customized action plans to deepen a culture of open inquiry within their schools. These plans might include:
Shared Framework & Resources
Fellows will contribute to a comprehensive roadmap designed to promote intellectual diversity, civil discourse, and mission-driven nonpartisanship in their school communities.
Lasting Community & Impact
Fellows join a growing alumni network, continuing to exchange insights, resources, and effective strategies for years to come. Their collective efforts form the foundation of a School Consortium dedicated to sustaining environments of inquiry-driven learning.
As a Mill Institute School Leader Fellow, you will:
Build a roadmap with concrete tools and strategies to foster open inquiry and drive institutional transformation at your school.
Leadership Fellows should expect to attend the in-person collaboration weekend in Austin (September 27-29). The Mill Institute provides airfare (up to $500), hotel accommodations, and select meals. Additionally, Fellows will participate in no more than six virtual sessions over the course of the academic year scheduled on weekday afternoons.
